Litchfield Park Golfers

Attention all amateur golfers!  Be sure to mark your calendars for the 2013 Wigwam Amateur Golf Championship Tournament being help Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th, hosted by the City of Litchfield Park.  The Wigwam Amateur Championship is a 36 hole, individual stroke play tournament limited to 84 amateur golfers with a valid AGA or USGA handicaps.   Wigwam Amateur players are welcome to stay at the Wigwam Resort for a discounted rate.  Mention the code “WWGOLF” when making your room reservations.

Registration Information

Registration for the Wigwam Amateur Championship Tournament is simple.  Just print and fill out the Wigwam 2013 Amateur Golf Championship Registration form and then mail the completed form along with your entry fee to the Wigwam Golf Club (address is on the registration form).  Registration Deadline is May 21st 2013!  Entry fee is $150.00.  Wigwam Golf Club Members pay $76.00.

Tournament within a Tournament

If you are a resident of the City of Litchfield Park and you enter the Wigwam Amateur Tournament, you will automatically be entered into the Litchfield Park City Championship Tournament.    You will be eligible for Gross and Net Champion recognition.

Format

Individual stroke play will be conducted over 36 holes.  Int eh event of a tie for 1st place in the Gross division, there will be a sudden death playoff.  All other ties, regardless of division, will be broken using he USGA recommended method.

Schedule of Activities

Monday – Friday (5/20-24) leading up to the event weekend - practice rounds are available only after you have registered for the tournament.  $30 plus tax per round beginning at 7 am.

Saturday, May 25th - Practice range opens at 6:30 am.  First round on the Heritage Course - Shotgun start at 8:00 am.

Sunday, May 26th - Practice range opens at 6:30 am.  Final Round on the Gold Course.  Pairings on score – 8:00 am shotgun.  Awards luncheon after the round.

A portion of each entry fee will be donated to Friends of the Rec, a non profit organization committed to encouraging social and recreational activities for youth and families in Litchfield park and the surrounding West Valley communities.  For additional information, please contact Sonny Culbreth at 623-935-9040 or sculbreth@litchfieldpark.org
